Security Officer

Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring the Clearpath Clinic and clinic grounds in order to prevent theft, vandalism, accidents, entry by unauthorized individuals, and overall ensure the safety of the patients and treatment staff at the clinic. This individual assists staff with unruly patients and/or visitors, as well as assist with control of high traffic patient times and areas.
Responsibilities
- Periodically do rounds of the building, parking lots and surrounding areas of the premises, examining doors, rooms, windows, suspicious behaviors, vehicles, or individuals to determine safety and security.
- Confront unauthorized persons for questioning; reroute or telephone for assistance based on the situation and need.
- Check cars in both parking lots and verify if vehicles are authorized.
- Check exterior lighting and access routes to emergency and fire entrances; assist with patients needing escort either for safety reasons or because of mobility issues.
- Escort patients and/or staff to and from parking lots as requested.
- Complete incident reports as needed.
- Respond to calls for request for presence by nurses, clinical, or support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age older
- Must be able to manage high stress situations
- Have excellent communication & de-escalation skills
- Must have CPR & First Aid certification prior to onsite training

- Hourly Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
