Maintenance Technician
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities within our organization. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or operational issues, and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct repairs, replacements, or adjustments of defective parts using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition for future reference.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests or emergencies, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, policies, and standards to optimize equipment performance and longevity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Vocational training or certification in a maintenance-related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficient in using a wide range of hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional on-call duty.
This role has designated hours during regular daytime hours Monday through Friday, with on-call rotation.
