Residential Cook
The Residential Cook role supports the nutritional needs of our patients in our residential treatment facilities. Their key responsibilities would be preparing well-balanced meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Preparation of meals for days not on-site, maintaining a meal plan for dinner meals of the residential programs. They would work in conjunction with the Treatment Director and House Manager in the planning and management of kitchen supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing food for patients in the residential program in accordance with menus.
- Ensure meals accommodate any specific dietary restrictions or medical needs of patients.
- Maintain meal plans for the residential programs.
- Deliver meals to residential programs where they are not cooked.
- Prepare and package meals in advance for days when not on-site. Ensure they are properly stored.
- Maintain adequate kitchen inventory including, supplies, ingredients, and food items.
- Ensure that all food is stored safely and monitor expiration dates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel between programs.
- Must have prior experience as a cook and/or meal planner.
- Must be Serve Safe certified.
- Must have kitchen knowledge surrounding storage, safety, and responsible use of equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills and operate independently.

- Hourly Pay: $17-$23 per hour, DOE.
